Ever wonder what it is like to steal a mysterious artifact from an ancient temple filled with unknown secrets and mysteries? There is a high chance you won’t be making out of the temple alive without triggering deadly traps or summoning some sort of legendary beasts. Well instead of risking your life why not simulate the experience by playing the new free app Temple Run.
The storyline is simple. Users play as a daring unnamed explorer who steals an idol from a temple and suddenly finds himself chased by huge dark demons that want to end his life. The goal is to see how far players can outrun the monsters before they own him. It’s great fun for the users; not so much the explorer.
The graphics are pretty nice making the move from 2-D to 3-D. The overall design of the tropical environment adds a great element to the game.
Temple run’s gameplay is fairly simple. Players are allowed four actions: running to the left, running to the right, hopping into the air, and sliding on the ground; Each action is triggered by sliding a finger in the corresponding direction. Timing is essential in order to avoid overgrown vines impeding your path or deadly drops from broken paths. Players can also grab coins on their run that allows them to buy power ups such as coin boosts or an extra life when they make a mistake. Users can also purchase coins as an in-app purchase in order to make the upgrades easily accessible.
I believe that this game provides a nerve-wracking experience for users since obstacles get harder and harder and demand lightning fast reflexes to overcome. I can see how players would crave for a better score and abuse the try again button when they lose.

Being a ninja has always been a child’s fantasy. In this new app Ninjump, players play as an advent ninja that runs up a seemingly endless wall. As players reach higher altitudes the obstacles get harder and harder.
The gameplay is extremely simple. As players tap the screen the ninja hops from one wall to the next. With one tap on the screen your ninja lunges from one wall to the other in a spinning attack animation that destroys the animal obstacles.
Timing is of the essence in this game where one mistake will send your ninja falling to his death. The obstacles include blue birds that dive at the ninja from a great height, an oversized squirrel that runs along a straight line attempting to knock the ninja off balance. There are also enemy ninjas that run along side the walls as well as throw ninja stars or later on sticks of dynamite.
The game also includes boosts that the ninja gets when he kills 3 of the same type of enemy. When they complete that task the ninja is suddenly elevated at an accelerated rate and also takes the form of the enemy they killed. For instance, if a player kills 3 blue birds in a row they sprout wings and fly upwards destroying anything they touch.
This game although mildly addicting game may become boring over time since all you are doing is trying to get a higher score than before.

Can you think of a better way of passing time then going on a zombie-killing spree? I can’t. The new app Zombie Highway incorporates the idea of mass murdering the undead in a whole new and creative way. Players start off in a black SUV with the goal of driving as far away as possible while attempting to fend off blood thirsty zombies that launch themselves in the air and latch onto the vehicle attempting to overturn it or make it crash into the upcoming debris.

In order to kill off the enemies, users can knock them off by driving their SUV close enough to the debris to have it bash the zombies killing them instantly or inflicting damage. They can also just “rambo style” it and drive straight towards the demonic zombies and send them flying. As their kill count increases, players can also receive weapons to punch holes into their unwanted passengers. As time goes on, users are faced with larger and more powerful zombies that are much harder to kill.
The game controls are fairly simple. Steering the car left and right is done by tilting the iPhone in the same direction. Firing weapons requires tapping on the red arrows that appear on the side of the screens when zombies attack and jump on your vehicle.
Players can also unlock more levels, upgraded weapons, and compete with their friends to fight for the top score. There is also a gun shop where they can purchase the most powerful weapons in the game without going through the tedious task of earning them for a small fee of up to $3.99.
In conclusion, with its sharp graphics and smooth gameplay, Zombie Highway is a no brainer when it comes to adding it to you’re application inventory. This game is extremely addicting and will be sure to keep you occupied for hours and hours. Its time to strap on that seatbelt and venture on a zombie annihilating trip.

Have you heard that cliché pictures say a thousand words? So do the people of Instagram. With Instagram, the iphone camera snapping experience is taken to new heights. When a user takes a picture, they are allowed to select from a wide variety of image effects that mimic those one would see on an HD camera such as a Nikon SLR. Pictures can become distressed or enhanced with more gamma or hue to bring out the full potential of a photo.
Instagram also allows people to share their “professional” photos with all of their friends and family using social media channels like Facebook and Twitter, exposing their product to the entire world. The time you graduated from college can be documented and shown to all of your close friends within seconds.
The app is very simple since its sole purpose is to give you high-quality photos, and it does an amazing job. Photoshop may not even be needed to make those minor tweaks anymore. One touch with your finger and bam, a preset filter makes your picture say a thousand words.
Instagram is a great application for photo fanatics who are constantly on the hunt for new and exciting pictures to take. The app is also FREE, so why not look like a seasoned pro in photography? I say hit the download button and get instagramming.

If you’re a music-head like me, you are constantly searching for the newest track from the radio or a song you happen to hear in a restaurant. However, it is always frustrating when you can’t quite catch the lyrics and the chances of finding that one song vanishes into thin air. Depressing at times isn’t it? Well say goodbye to those disappointing moments and say hello to the iphone app Shazam.
With its swirly black and white logo, Shazam allows users to identity a song they are currently listening to just by allowing the app to analyze the track. In mere seconds the song information that users are desperately trying to find pops up. When you run Shazam the “Touch to Shazam” screen appears and all users have to do is click the logo, put the iphone close to the audio source, and SHAZAM; The song title and artist name appear.
I believe this app is a lifesaver for me personally, and allows me to continue bobbing my head to a new song I heard at a club or walking through a mall in the convenience of my home anytime. It is an awesome application and I highly recommend it.

I’m sure you have all heard of the worldwide phenomenon called Angry Birds that has been sweeping the competition in the Iphone application market. This simple yet wildly addicting game has attracted millions of users who constantly try to conquer all of the puzzling levels that the game provides.
The storyline involves a rivalry between colorful birds and evil green pigs. In every episode you see a short animation where the birds suddenly discover that all of their eggs are missing and the culprits are obviously the pesky green pigs. The loss of their eggs causes the birds to become… well … ANGRY. Your mission: To retrieve the eggs by terminating all of the green pigs.

Users will find themselves trying gauge the perfect angle whereas to launch the birds at the different structures to uncover and pulverize the pigs. Players must plan out their attack strategies and use all of the birds at their disposal to ensure victory at each level. Each bird has their own unique ability depending on their appearance and color that can be activated by tapping the screen post-launching them through the slingshot. For instance, blue birds can multiply in the air like a spread shot of a shotgun and hit multiple targets, while the black bird serves as a time bomb that can demolish whatever surrounds it.
Why is this game so popular? I believe that people constantly want to beat all of the levels because of the frustration and feeling of defeat when they are unable to pass a difficult one. Players want to prove to themselves that they can solve the puzzle and fail to admit defeat. After countless attempts filled with hair pulling, teeth grinding, vulgar language, and tears the reward of completing a treacherous level leaves them ecstatic.
Conclusion: Angry Birdss a great game to play to kill time and feed your puzzle solving cravings. The amount of levels will keep you occupied for hours and hours. Good Luck, and get ready to get ANGRYYYYY

What is iMobster? Is it this crazy fps where I get to satisfy my trigger-happy hunger blasting away at civilians or rival gangs with my trusty friend the AK47? Unfortunately no, calm down tiger. iMobster is a new iphone application which is based on a turn-taking gameplay that compares each players skill sets to one another in order to determine who wins a fight. As players level up, they gain skill points that are used to enhance their Mobsters Attack, Defense, Stamina, etc. Players can also buy equipment that can give their stats a boost and allows them to gain an edge over their rivals.
The basic premise of the game is a player must start off as a petty thief and work his/her way up the gang hierarchy to become the most powerful mobster in the game. The motivation? They get to bully everyone else around and possess all of the well-designed images of high-tech weapons and decked out vehicles.
The gameplay is very simple. Players must gain experience and income by completing missions and attacking other players. Players can also increase the strength of their mob by inviting their friends to join which helps their chance of winning battles.
Imobsters can become very addicting since players enjoy the satisfaction of overpowering another rival mobster and stealing their money. The constant competition between their close friends to see who will out level the other serves as another driving factor in user use.
Although the game may not demand the full attention of it’s player and involve extreme button mashing techniques, it is a great pastime and one would find oneself visiting the app a few times a day.
